Prep Time: 10 mins

Cook Time: 15 mins

Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • 1 large ribeye steak (about 1 ½ - 2 inches thick, ideally cut into a “heart” shape)
  • 2 tbsp Borsari Original Seasoning
  • 2 tbsp Borsari Olive Oil
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 - 4 garlic cloves, smashed
  • 2 - 3 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat the steak dry with paper towels. Season generously on both sides with Borsari Original Seasoning and black pepper. Let rest at room temperature for 20 to 30 minutes.
  2. Heat a heavy skillet (cast iron preferred) over medium-high heat. Add Borsari Olive Oil until shimmering.
  3. Carefully place the steak in the hot pan. Sear for 3–4 minutes per side, or until a golden-brown crust forms.
  4. Reduce heat to medium-low. Add butter, garlic, and rosemary to the pan. Tilt the pan slightly and spoon the melted butter over the steak repeatedly to baste.
  5. Continue cooking until steak reaches your desired doneness (125°F for rare, 135°F for medium-rare, 145°F for medium).
  6. Transfer the steak to a cutting board and let it rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing.

Pro Tips

  • Ask your butcher to cut a ribeye or porterhouse in a “heart” shape for a festive presentation.
  • Always let the steak rest before slicing—this locks in the juices for a tender bite.
  • Pair with roasted vegetables, garlic mashed potatoes, or a simple green salad for a complete meal.
