Loaded Borsari Fries

Crispy golden fries topped with melty cheese, smoky bacon, sautéed mushrooms, and a sprinkle of Borsari... this is comfort food at its absolute best. Borsari Original and Borsari Everything Bagel add layers of savory flavor that take loaded fries to another level.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag frozen French fries (or homemade fries)
  • 1 tsp Borsari Original Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Borsari Everything Bagel Seasoning (for topping)
  • 6 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour (or gluten-free flour)
  • 1-1/4 cups milk
  • 1-1/2 cups shredded mozzarella or white cheddar
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook French fries according to package instructions until crispy. Sprinkle immediately with Borsari Original.
  2. In a skillet, cook chopped bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving a bit of the drippings.
  3. Add mushrooms to the pan and sauté until browned. Set aside with the bacon.
  4. In a small saucepan, melt butter. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Slowly whisk in milk and cook until thickened, 2 to 3 minutes.
  6. Stir in shredded cheese until melted and smooth.
  7. To assemble: Place fries on a platter, drizzle with cheese sauce, then top with bacon and mushrooms.
  8. Finish with a sprinkle of Borsari Everything Bagel and chopped parsley.

Tips

  • Add caramelized onions for extra sweetness and depth.
  • Swap mushrooms for sautéed peppers or jalapeños for heat.
  • Use gluten-free fries + gluten-free flour to make this fully gluten-free.
