Beef Stroganoff is the ultimate comfort food; tender strips of beef simmered in a creamy mushroom sauce and served over egg noodles. With a touch of Borsari Seasoning, this classic dish takes on rich, savory depth while remaining simple enough for a weeknight dinner. It’s hearty, cozy, and guaranteed to be a crowd-pleaser.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs Beef Sirloin or Tenderloin, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp Borsari Olive Oil
- 1 medium Onion, diced
- 2 cups Mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp Flour
- 1 cup Beef Broth
- 1 cup Sour Cream
- 2 tsp Borsari Original Seasoning
- 12 oz Egg Noodles, cooked
- Fresh Parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook egg noodles according to package directions; drain and set aside.
- Season sliced beef with Borsari Seasoning. Heat Borsari Olive Oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear beef quickly, 1 to 2 minutes per side, until browned but not fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add onions and cook until softened. Stir in mushrooms and garlic, cooking until mushrooms release their juices and turn golden.
- Sprinkle flour over the vegetables and stir to coat. Slowly add beef broth, whisking until smooth and slightly thickened.
- Reduce heat to low. Stir in sour cream, then return beef to the pan. Simmer gently until the beef is cooked through and the sauce is creamy.
- Serve warm over egg noodles and garnish with fresh parsley.
Pro Tips
- Slice the beef thinly against the grain to keep it tender.
- Don’t overcook the beef! Sear quickly, then let it finish in the sauce.
- Swap sour cream for Greek yogurt for a lighter twist.
- Serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or polenta if you want something different from egg noodles.
