Share
This tender, deeply flavorful brisket combines the bold richness of Borsari Coffee Rub with the savory balance of Borsari Original Seasoning. Slow-roasted until perfectly sliceable, it’s ideal for holiday gatherings, Sunday dinners, or any time you want melt-in-your-mouth comfort food.
Ingredients
- 1 (4 to 6 lb) beef brisket
- 2 tbsp Borsari Coffee Rub
- 1 to 2 tsp Borsari Original Seasoning
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, smashed
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce (optional, for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300°F.
- Pat brisket dry and rub with olive oil. Coat generously with Borsari Coffee Rub, then sprinkle Borsari Original over the top for extra depth.
- Place sliced onions and garlic in the bottom of a roasting pan. Set brisket on top, fat-side up.
- Pour beef broth around (not on top of) the brisket.
- Cover tightly with foil and roast for 3.5 to 5 hours, depending on size, until fork-tender.
- Remove foil and roast uncovered for an additional 20 to 30 minutes to develop a crust.
- Let rest 15 to 20 minutes before slicing against the grain.
- Serve with pan juices or barbecue sauce.
Tips
- For even deeper flavor, season and refrigerate brisket overnight before roasting.
- This is excellent for meal prep. Leftovers stay tender for days.
