Elegant, buttery, and bite-sized, these Mini Beef Wellington Bites are the perfect holiday appetizer. Borsari Original Seasoning adds a bold, savory depth that makes every tender, flaky bite unforgettable.
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef tenderloin, cut into 1 to 1.5 inch cubes
- 1 to 2 tsp Borsari Original Seasoning
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 8 oz mushrooms, finely minced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Season beef cubes generously with Borsari Original.
- Heat olive oil in a hot pan and quickly sear beef on all sides (about 30 to 45 seconds per side). Remove and let cool.
- In the same pan, melt butter and add mushrooms, garlic, and thyme. Cook until moisture evaporates and mixture becomes paste-like. Let cool.
- Cut puff pastry into squares big enough to wrap each beef cube.
- Spread a small amount of mushroom mixture onto each pastry square, add a dab of Dijon, then place beef cube on top.
- Wrap pastry around the beef, sealing edges. Place seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Brush tops with egg wash.
- Bake 12 to 15 minutes, until pastry is puffed and golden.
- Serve warm with extra Dijon or horseradish sauce.
Tips
- For medium-rare centers, chill beef cubes 10 minutes after searing before wrapping.
- Make ahead: Assemble up to 24 hours in advance and bake just before serving.
