Ingredients

  • 2 ahi tuna steaks (about 6 oz each, sushi-grade)
  • 2 Tbsp Borsari Everything Bagel Seasoning
  • 2 Tbsp Borsari Olive Oil
  • 2 cups cooked sushi rice or jasmine rice
  • 1 small cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 small carrot, julienned
  • 1/2 cup edamame, cooked and shelled
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup
  • Pickled ginger and sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the tuna: Pat tuna steaks dry. Press Borsari Everything Bagel Seasoning evenly onto both sides.
  2. Sear the tuna: Heat Borsari Olive Oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear tuna for 1–2 minutes per side until the crust is golden but the center is still rare. Remove and slice thinly.
  3. Make the dressing: In a small bowl, whisk soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and honey until well combined.
  4. Assemble the bowls: Divide rice between two bowls. Arrange cucumber, avocado, carrot, and edamame neatly on top.
  5. Finish and serve: Top with sliced tuna and drizzle with dressing. Garnish with green onions, pickled ginger, and sesame seeds if desired.
