15-Minute Garlic Shrimp

15-Minute Garlic Shrimp

When you need dinner fast but still want bright, bold flavor, this garlic shrimp delivers. Juicy shrimp, tender pasta, and a buttery garlic sauce come together in just 15 minutes - perfect for busy weeknights when time is short but expectations are high.

Made with Borsari Citrus Seasoning, this dish gets a fresh, zesty twist that tastes like sunshine on a plate (even in the middle of winter).

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined (can also use thawed frozen shrimp)
  • 8 oz pasta (linguine, fettuccine, or your favorite)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (try Borsari Olive Oil)
  • 2 to 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 1/2 tsp Borsari Citrus Seasoning (plus more to taste)
    • 1/4 cup reserved pasta water
    • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
    • Optional: grated Parmesan, lemon wedges, red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta.
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve 1/4 cup pasta water, then drain.
  2. Sauté the garlic.
Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, just until fragrant.
  3. Cook the shrimp.
Add shrimp to the skillet and sprinkle with Borsari Citrus Seasoning and optional lemon slices. Cook 2 to 3 minutes per side, until shrimp are pink and opaque.
  4. Toss it all together.
Add cooked pasta and reserved pasta water to the skillet. Toss gently to coat everything in the garlic-citrus sauce.
  5. Finish & serve.
Remove from heat. Garnish with parsley. Add a squeeze of lemon (optional) and serve immediately.

Why We Love This Recipe

  • Ready in 15 minutes
  • Bright, zesty flavor from Borsari Citrus Seasoning
  • Weeknight-friendly and simple
  • Easy cleanup: one pot + one pan

Pro Tips from the Borsari Kitchen

  • Don’t overcook the shrimp. Pull them as soon as they turn pink and opaque (they keep cooking for a minute after).
  • Save that pasta water. It helps the sauce cling to the noodles and makes everything silky.
  • Add a fresh finish. A squeeze of lemon at the end makes the citrus notes pop even more.
  • Customize it. Toss in spinach, asparagus tips, or roasted broccoli for an easy veggie boost.

Make It Your Own

Try serving this garlic shrimp with rice or orzo, or add a pinch of red pepper flakes for heat. It also works beautifully with scallops or chicken if you want to switch it up.
